Regarding the above matter, today, April 8th, a malfunction was confirmed in the bow thruster of the Ferry Chikushi, making emergency docking necessary, so we will be changing the operation and arrival and departure times of each route as follows.

○ Operation of the Emerald Karatsu as a substitute ship [application for approval pending]
As a substitute ship for the Ferry Chikushi, the Emerald Karatsu will depart Hakata at 00:05 and be operated at 23:30 (the day before) as per the docking schedule.
In addition, the return trip to Gengen will be changed from 8:50 to 8:20 as per the docking schedule.

○ Ferry Kizuna extension to Izuhara [application for approval pending]
The Emerald Karatsu has a smaller vehicle capacity than the Ferry Chikushi, and there is a risk that some vehicles will not be able to be loaded onto the substitute ship while it is in operation. Therefore, starting from April 8th, the Ferry Kizuna will depart from Hakata at 8:35 p.m., but will depart at 8:45 p.m. via Gonoura to Izuhara.
In addition, starting from April 9th, the ferry will return to Izuhara at 4:25 a.m., departing Gonoura at 7 a.m. for Hakata.

○ Emergency docking on the Karatsu route [application for approval pending]
As the Emerald Karatsu will operate as a substitute ship for the Hakata route, the Karatsu route will be manned by the Diamond Iki for emergency docking.

*The emergency docking arrangement will be decided depending on the construction schedule of the Ferry Chikushi, so we will notify you again as soon as the schedule is known.
