Extension of emergency docking due to generator malfunction of Ferry Chikushi and change of ship assignment due to crew shortage

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for your continued support of our business.
We have confirmed that a malfunction was detected in the generator on the Ferry Chikushi on August 18th, and the vessel is currently operating on the Hakata-Iki-Tsushima route and the Inzuji-Karatsu route through emergency docking. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our current and planned passengers.
We had initially advised that the emergency docking due to the generator malfunction on the Ferry Chikushi would take place until Monday, August 25th to identify the damage and perform repairs, but the equipment manufacturer has informed us that it will take until the end of November to restore service. As a result, we have decided to extend the emergency docking period until Friday, October 31st.
In addition, due to a chronic shortage of crew, starting September 1st, the Ferry Kizuna's 8:45 PM departure from Hakata for Izuhara via Gonoura will be changed to an 8:35 PM departure from Hakata for Gonoura, and for the return journey, the 4:25 AM departure from Izuhara for Hakata via Gonoura will be changed to an 7:00 AM departure from Gonoura for Hakata. (Application for approval pending)
We apologize for any inconvenience caused to customers who planned to use the ferry on this route during the emergency docking period and its extended period, and we ask for your understanding.
